Just talked to Pastor Ron in Philippines. They have had fences and a few pieces of roofs torn down by the wind and they are in about 8 inches of rain coming down even as we are writing this, with lots of trees down, as well as some power lines and cell towers. Eastern Samar was hit again the hardest but thank God the way we all rebuilt after the last time, and God’s grace allowed them to stand the test of this storm and have been places for those around to run to for refuge. We built them with that in mind and though we lost some sheets off three of the roofs we are blessed that the buildings are standing as a symbol for the Lord. Thank you for the prayers, lots of less fortunate people all around us since they didn’t have the kind of buildings that we have and several will be living at the churches until their homes can be rebuilt, or at least looking to us to help again with food since all the damage to their farm fields will leave them without crops.
The beauty so far is that in our churches none are known dead after the first two days of the storm, and it is moving now to the north and away from our churches and Bible College.
If any want to help in sending teams or finances you can make contact directly and we will do all that we can to house you and allow your teams opportunity to minister to the hurting. All electric is out once again on the East Side of the Island, our generators allow us lights and the pumps to work from our well, but without cell tower we can not get communication without going to town and using emergency travel towers there. Will give more information as I get the reports from Pastor Ron and the other Pastors there.
God Bless!
