Latest reports put the death toll as over 6000 with 14,000 injured and thousands still unaccounted for. Thousands of villages have been devastated and reports are that up to 90% of schools and clinics in many district are badly damaged.
Calvary Chapel has a church and Bible College (http://www.ccbcnepal.com) located in Kathmandu that has sustained very minor damage. On May 2 a team from CC Westgrove, CC Saving Grace, and CC San Juan Capistrano will be headed to Nepal to meet with our staff in Kathmandu and assess needs in the outlying areas. They will be taking water purification systems and other supplies to help meet immediate needs.
We pray that in the days ahead we will raise the financial support we need to equip teams to minister to the needs of the Nepalese in the name of Christ. If you would like to donate you can do so at DONATE.
