The island of Samar is home to over 733,000 people. Typhoon Haiyan first made landfall on the southeastern tip of the island. In the Philippines, they call small towns or villages "Barangays." This is what a number of the barangays looked like a little over a week ago as we toured the southeastern portion of Samar. These barangay were once home to tens of thousands of people. Our teams are currently in country and ministering to the needs of the victims of this great disaster. We will be posting a video and more information on how you can help in the coming days.
